Let's all promise to make meaningful resolutions this year  that we can keep. With that in mind, I give you, group benefit resolutions for the advisor, plan sponsor and plan member!

Plan Advisor
  1. Communicate the solutions already built into my client’s plans that support employee health.
  2. Include the policy number in all email subject lines to the benefits provider.
  3. Stop moving groups for cost, start moving groups for value and service.
Employer / Plan Sponsor
  1. Make sure plan members know what benefits are available, when to use them and how to access the program.
  2. Have a drug risk conversation with your benefit advisor.
  3. Be supportive of employee's health goals.
Employee / Plan Member
  1. Take ownership of my benefits & find out what my employer offers to me.
  2. Download benefit provider app.
  3. Take full advantage of any RRSP or Pension matching.
Bonus, the Insurer: Stop released quotes that knowingly underfund the claims.
